We require a billing clerk to assist in the billing of legally aided Crown Court files. The successful applicant does not need any experience in the field as training will be given. This is an interesting and varied role, encompassing all aspects of Crown Court billing, with the potential to develop into other billing areas of the firm. Working in a small team, this would ideally suit someone who is able to work independently and is self-motivated. We are an expanding High Street firm of solicitors who require two competent secretaries to support the Family & Conveyancing departments based at our Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross offices. The roles will involve a large amount of audio typing as well as the provision of general administrative support to a busy team of fee earners. The roles will also involve some reception and telephone cover. A good typing speed is obligatory. We are authorised by the Law Society to take 12 trainees.
The training contract will have a heavy emphasis on Criminal Law and successful candidates will be expected to complete the Police Station Representatives Accreditation Scheme. Presently training seats are also offered in Prison Law and Conveyancing.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate not only a strong academic background with a minimum 2:1 degree but also a common sense approach. Trainees are given responsibility, with full supervision, from the outset and should possess the ability to effectively deal with this. An ability and willingness to be an integral part of our team on all levels including sport, social and marketing will enhance your application. Hine Solicitors has an extremely high retention rate of trainees and our aim is to cultivate good home grown solicitors who will help to fuel the continued success of the firm upon qualification.
The training contract may be based at our Beaconsfield, Cheltenham, Gerrards Cross, Oxford Summertown, Princes Risborough or West Drayton office and candidates should note that they will be expected to work from more than one of the offices during the course of the training contract. Full driving licence and own car are essential.

Paralegals are given the same responsibility as our trainee solicitors and we expect the same high standards to be demonstrated.
