Barrister and Solicitor Advocates (Higher Rights) opportunities…

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Solicitor Advocates (Higher Rights) and Barristers experienced in all aspects of criminal defence work to join our very busy “in house” team of Higher Rights Advocates.

Successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate an ability to manage their own heavy caseload including trials and to provide advice and assistance to the case workers and solicitors in our criminal litigation team.

Cases will be allocated according to the applicant’s experience and ability but all successful applicants can expect to be in court on a daily basis.

Whilst there is no upper limit to the experience and qualifications for any applicant – successful applicants

should be able to demonstrate a high degree of competency and have experience of conducting trials in the Crown Court or Court Martials.

Hine Solicitors criminal work spans the country although members of our “in house” team are currently based in Beaconsfield, Bristol, Oxford, Wolverhampton and Cheltenham. Going forwards there may be an opportunity to be based elsewhere subject to the demands or requirements of the firm. As we are a national firm all of our advocates are expected to be able to commit to appearances in courts all over the country subject to the demands of the practice.

Positions are available with an immediate start.

We are an equal opportunities employer.
