We have fantastic opportunities for Family Legal Secretaries in both the Oxford and Gerrards Cross offices. The purpose of both roles is to assist and support with secretarial and administrative duties for our family department. The successful candidate(s) must have experience in the following:

Audio and copy typing all correspondence to include letters, legal forms and quotes
Answer the telephone in a polite and efficient manner
Undertake administrative duties such as photocopying, and updating client details
Arranging appointments and dealing with clients
Accessing and inputting data on to the firm’s client case management system
Handle all confidential information discreetly

To be successful in your application, you will possess the following attributes:

  • Proven experience working as a Legal Secretary
  • Excellent technical skills which include a fast and accurate typing speed
  • The ability to manage a busy workload with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines

Summary

Hine Solicitors are looking for a lunchtime cover receptionist to cover the reception in our Beaconsfield or Gerrards Cross office, for 2 hours per day, 5 days a week on a permanent basis.

The role is to provide professional and efficient front-of-house support to the Beaconsfield or Gerrards Cross office during lunchtime hours. The role will involve:

Covering the reception area whilst other receptionists are on their break
Answering telephone calls
Greeting clients and other visitors to the office
Dealing with deliveries and other enquiries
Booking meeting and board rooms for members of staff and supporting staff generally
General office administration

Prior experience in manning a reception desk is desirable but not essential as training in the use of our phone systems and operations of the firm will be provided. The successful candidate should have very good interpersonal skills, a professional telephone manner, dress smartly and conduct themselves generally in a polite, professional and courteous manner to visitors and staff. The ability to work as a team is important as you will be supporting various members of staff. The role will suit someone looking for some work experience in an office environment and who is keen and willing to learn. There will always be opportunities to progress if desirable.

Legal Secretary – Private Client

Office: Oxford
Job type: Part time (hours to suit)

The Private Client department at Hine Solicitors continues to grow and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to join the friendly, busy and well-established team at our office in Summertown, Oxford.

The role requires the successful candidate to carry out a range of secretarial support to a high professional standard in assisting two Private Client fee earners based in Oxford consisting of one full-time and one part-time fee earner. You may also need to remotely support other Private Client fee earners based in other offices of the firm from time to time.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work well with other members of the team, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise, an outstanding telephone manner as well as excellent typing skills. Experience of typing to dictation is desirable but not essential.

A good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Google Forms and case management software will be helpful as well as prior experience of working within a Private Client team, however this is not essential.
