Our Services

Browse Hine Solicitors services by situation, from family and property to business disputes and criminal defence, across our offices in England.

Hine Solicitors services cover most of what comes up in family life, in property, in running a business, or in dealing with the police or the courts.

Below they are grouped by the kind of situation you are likely facing, so you can go straight to the team who deals with it, rather than working through an alphabetical list. The range on offer has grown steadily since the firm was founded in 2001, and each addition has come from building a proper team around it rather than simply adding a name to a list.

For you and your family

Family law handles divorce, separation, arrangements for children and the financial side of a split. Wills, probate and powers of attorney is where to go to put a will in place, plan for later life, or deal with an estate once someone has died. If an accident or someone else’s negligence has left you injured or unwell, personal injury is the team who take that on.

For your property

Buying, selling or remortgaging a house sits with conveyancing. Premises for a business, whether that means acquiring a site, selling one on, or agreeing a lease, sits with commercial property.

For your business

Employment law works both sides of the desk, advising employers and employees on disputes and day to day questions alike. Dispute resolution is for contractual disagreements and other conflicts that have reached the point of needing a legal answer.

If you are facing the police or the courts

Crime and fraud represents people under investigation or facing charges. Motoring offences is the narrower, driving specific version of that. White collar and financial crime sits alongside it for business and regulatory matters. Beyond the courtroom, prison law advises people already serving a sentence and military law advises serving personnel.

Finding the right person

Each service above is handled by a team who work in it regularly, not by generalists covering several areas at once, and we have specialists across our offices in England so you are rarely far from someone who can help. Not every office covers every service directly, since some specialisms are concentrated in particular locations, but your local office will always know who to bring in if the work needed sits with a colleague elsewhere rather than turning you away.

If you are not sure which service fits your situation, get in touch with your nearest office and explain what has happened. They will work out with you which team should take it on, rather than leaving you to guess from a list. The same applies if your situation crosses more than one area, for example a relationship breakdown that also involves selling a property. In cases like that we can bring the relevant teams together on your matter rather than leaving you to coordinate between them yourself.

You can also search our people directly if you would rather start from a person than a service, or read more about the firm if you want the wider picture before you get in touch.
