Civil partnership

There are differences between a Civil Partnership and a Marriage and it makes sense to understand these properly. Our solicitors are experienced and empathetic and will help you to understand your legal situation and make informed decisions about your next steps.

The pain of a relationship breaking down, understandably, can make it hard to think straight, so you’ll need a solicitor who not only knows how the law works, but who is also approachable and compassionate.

Whether you’re just thinking about it or have made the decision to split contact us to make sure you take the right steps for your future.

Before you enter a civil partnership

It’s wise to know what your legal rights and responsibilities are – and where it differs from a marriage. This is just good sense and ensures you both embark on a committed relationship with a clear vision of your future.

Fixed fee consultation

If your relationship is in trouble you can ask for an initial consultation to ensure you know your rights and avoid any pitfalls. This isn’t committing you to an expensive legal process, there’s a fixed cost of just £150 (+VAT) for up to an hour with one of our family law solicitors.

Dissolution

This is the equivalent of a divorce and can be very stressful so it’s important that you have a sensitive and caring solicitor on your side to guide you. This will allow you to ensure your financial situation is protected and clear arrangements are put in place for any children you and your partner may have.
