Put children first!

03/11/2015

Resolution’s Family Dispute Resolution Week is coming up on 23 – 27 November 2015.

This year’s theme is “Put Children First” during divorce. As part of the campaign Resolution commissioned a poll of young people to find out about their experiences during their parents’ break-up. The results support the need for the Parenting Charter and the Resolution Code of Practice.

All Hine Family Solicitors are members of Resolution. All Resolution members are committed to resolving family disputes as amicably as possible. That means:

  • keeping issues in relation to divorce and money separate from issues in relation to children
  • Keeping correspondence measured and reasonable in tone
  • trying to negotiate agreements that work for both the parties and for the children
  • Court proceedings are a last resort

Relationship breakdown is hard enough. You need to make sure that you have a solicitor who not only gives you the right advice and support but whose dealings with other parties is not going to make matters worse.
