Hine Solicitors were proud to sponsor for the second year the annual Misbourne Matins Rotary Club Chess Competition on 11 May 2013.
The participants were 9 to 11 year olds from 4 local schools, Chalfont St Peter Academy, Gerrards Cross C of E, Thorpe House and Holmer Green. 20 children took part at the event held at Thorpe House, playing three games each under the direction of Brian Lacey. Mr Lacey, who tutors the Bucks County Chess Team said he was impressed by the standard of all who participated.
Carin Eilerts de Haan, who co-ordinated the competition for the Rotary Club, thanked Hine Solicitors for sponsoring the event; she said that the t-shirts and certificates that were provided as prizes were really nice and were certainly appreciated by the children.
Jennifer Mee, Partner at Hine Solicitors, attended the event and during the prize giving, congratulated all those who had participated and thanked the Rotary club for organising the event.
