Duty Solicitors, Higher Court Advocate
What do you like best about your job?
Not being confined to an office everyday, getting to go out to new places and meeting new people from a variety of backgrounds. Cross examining witnesses and making decisive closing speeches is also one of the most satisfying aspects of being an advocate.
Why did you become a solicitor?
To stick up for the little guy! So often people experience unfairness and injustice and I wanted to be able to provide a voice for those who were vulnerable or were unable to speak up for themselves. There is no better feeling than knowing you made a difference in someone’s life because you had the strength and courage to stand up for them when no one else would.
