A new family solicitor joins our Cheltenham office

10/08/2015

Hine Solicitors are delighted to welcome Alison Thornton to the Family Department. Alison is based in the firm’s offices at 149-151 Fairview Road, Cheltenham.

Alison trained and practised as a solicitor in a large Devon and Cornwall practice before moving up to Cheltenham in 2000. After working in the town for a number of years, latterly she has been practising at a solicitors’ firm Worcestershire. Alison describes the return to Cheltenham as “coming home”.

Alison specialises in complex divorce and financial matters but deals with all area of family practice. She takes a no nonsense approach but still firmly believes in keeping correspondence and negotiations constructive. She has had many years of experience dealing with clients from diverse backgrounds both in this country and overseas – business owners, farmers, public sector workers including Police and the Armed Services.  She prides herself on good relationships with her clients, the courts and other professionals.

Alison has lived in Charlton Kings for over 15 years. She enjoys cricket in the summer and rugby in the winter (strictly as a spectator) and may now be seen cycling round the streets to Hine’s office in Cheltenham in fluorescent pink. She is developing a taste in classical music having for the first time this year attended First Night of the Proms and is looking forward to some more choral singing later in the year.
